All That For A Drop Of Blood?
The "Tank" is a class that is in almost every game. And for good reason. They effortlessly take all the punishment and protect the rest of the team.
Even the strongest party would find it difficult to make it through a dungeon without a Tank.
Before you can dish out damage, you need to be able to take it.

I Am Consistency
In a game, your progress is saved by your character leveling up. However, in the real world, our progress isn't saved, it degrades. We have forces fighting against us such as age, time, and responsibilities.
Like a Tank, our stat points need to be invested in Endurance, not Attack.
It's awesome to reach your ideal body weight, but does it matter, if you lost it all in a few weeks?
What Did It Cost? Nothing.

Say your goal is to lose weight. Well, you will need to make diet, sleep, and exercise changes.
Simplify, pick 1, let's say exercise. Simplify it again, instead of going to the gym, let's work out from home with bodyweight routines.
Even in its simplest form, there are still a few steps: wearing gym clothes, exercising, showering, making a protein shake, etc.
For the first week, wear your gym clothes and shoes at workout time and nothing more. Don't do anymore or you may burn out! Stick to the plan exactly.
If you're having trouble sticking to that, focus on wearing your gym shoes only. Make each step of the process comfortable for you. Remember, an extra few weeks in making a lifelong habit is insignificant.
Next week, add 10% of the time it takes you to do a routine i.e it's a 10-minute bodyweight routine, then do 1 minute of it.
If you ever have a rough day, or are sick, or are traveling, you can always wear your gym shoes and get credit for your habit-building!
You may think it is small, but to your mind and body, it is significant. Soon enough blows will be glancing off you.
Note: This approach has been adapted from the book, Atomic Habits, by James Clear, which I recommend reading!
